Here We Go Again

Route plotter is definitely going crazy. Typically, I smack the thing with the back of my left hand or spin around and give it a swift kick and it spits out another 1000 light year course plot. So, it failed and I smacked it. Then, I made another attempt.
I accidentally chose a destination beyond 1000 light years and it gave me the option to plot a course. It's never done that before. Normally it says, "No, stupid", and makes me do it again.
Kept choosing destinations further and further out and it kept taking them until I reached one over 19,000 light years away.
And, it plotted the course! Checked all 500 some odd jumps by hand. It's correct!
Me, Hoyt and the boys have definitely screwed something up here.
I think I'll head back towards civilization, look up an actual engineer and make sure we didn't screw anything else up.
Heard rumors before I left of a few asteroids out here in bumble space that have been converted into stations. The closest one to me that I've heard about is in the Carcosa system. Smack in the middle of nowhere. 18,000 light years and change away from my current position. I think I'll stop off there, sell my exploration data and use the funds to buy some bourbon and a side order of gravity. I miss both terribly.
